We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting in food preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
  • Support the kitchen team during service by preparing dishes as needed and ensuring timely delivery
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations
  • Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn more advanced techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
