The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that our in-process and manufactured digital container twin products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In this role, you will perform end-to-end quality testing on finished products, inspect incoming components, and identify opportunities to strengthen our QA process. Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Lead, you will work closely with our production and operations teams and will support continuous improvement through our Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate is a detail oriented and analytical problem solver with a strong understanding of quality assurance practices and measurement techniques who can thrive in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functionality and quality tests on SmartSkin's digital container twin finished products.
  • Measure incoming manufactured components and meticulously record and monitor any deviations from specifications.
  • Propose and implement quality improvements in our Quality Assurance and other processes.
  • Provide feedback to our engineering and design teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the production team to implement in-process QA checks during assembly, before the final QA stage.
  • Propose and implement automation solutions to streamline and enhance QA processes.
  • Contribute to the team's success and achieve related results as needed.
  • Ensure that all processes align with SmartSkin's quality standards and Quality Management System (QMS).

Qualifications & Experience

  • A post secondary technical diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, electronics technology, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related discipline is an asset but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly related role or organization.
  • Knowledge of statistical control charting is an asset, allowing you to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, circuitry, and testing methods is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality standards.
