About Us
We are a growing small business operating in the service industry, with multiple lines of activity. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to help manage day-to-day financial records and support our operations.
Responsibilities
- Record and categorize daily transactions across multiple business activities
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Track income, expenses, and vendor payments
- Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports
- Track and assist with HST filings
- Maintain organized digital financial records and documentation
- Coordinate with external accountant for year-end reporting
- Assist with payroll tracking and contractor payments (if applicable)
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience in a service-based business
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple revenue streams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Canadian tax basics (HST) is an asset
