Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and artistry
  • Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and cleaning workstations after each client to ensure safety and hygiene
  • Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable nail treatments, colors, and designs based on color theory principles
  • Educate clients on proper nail care routines and aftercare to promote healthy nails
  • Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client experience and salon revenue
  • Manage retail sales of nail products, skincare items, and accessories using retail math skills to meet sales goals
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing training

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs that complement clients' skin tones and personal styles
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting client relationships
  • Proficiency in sanitation protocols to uphold health standards within the salon environment
  • Formal training in cosmetology or esthetician licensing with specialization in nail care preferred
  • Experience with advanced techniques such as gel application, acrylics, nail extensions, and intricate nail art design
  • Ability to perform hair threading, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and hair styling is a plus for versatile service offerings
  • Knowledge of retail sales strategies including upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Familiarity with dermabrasion procedures or other skin treatments can be advantageous for holistic beauty services
