Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Administrator to join our busy law firm. We are a small law firm specializing in intellectual property law and are in need of bookkeeping services, payroll, accounts receivable and other financial services. The position requires in office work, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements, reports, and records with accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulations. Report to KPMG.
- Entering invoices into Quickbooks. Manage and maintain accounting records on Quickbooks.
- Submit invoices electronically to certain clients.
- Payroll processing. Benefits Administration. HST Filing.
Skills
- Proven experience in financial administration or accounting roles. 5-7 years of Bookkeeping experience. 2+ years experience with Quickbooks Desktop.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience processing payroll (issuing pay cheques, T4s, ROEs etc.)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration. Excellent English written and verbal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in a law firm setting. Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $41,605.74-$67,334.11 per year
