The Team Assistant provides administrative support to the Coordinator and members of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy team at LHSC. This role supports administrative work with regulatory documents, triages and when appropriate responds to incoming correspondence, manages fax and photocopy, enters or compile information in databases, maintains confidential files, takes meeting minutes, orders supplies, creates and revises forms, schedules meetings and supports ongoing projects.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $28.37 per hour - $35.45 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of 2-year College Diploma in Office Administration, Business or as acceptable by the Hospital
  • Minimum one to three years of office administration experience required
  • Two years of administrative experience working in Oncology preferred
  • Proficient problem solving and decision-making skills within the parameters of the role
  • Flexible and adaptable within a changing environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft 365
  • Adobe Creative Suite ( InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Computer skills (other): database, web programming, project management, videography
  • Project management - ability to prioritize fluctuating workload demands, balance resources across multiple projects
  • Facilitation skills e.g. consensus building and problem solving
  • Self directed with ability to work independently using above average levels of initiative and discretion
  • Experience with resource planning, measurement, reporting and evaluation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and outside agencies
  • High level of initiative and self-direction required
  • Flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities, procedures and method
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
