the leader in tours and transportation on Vancouver Island, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day cruise operations and logistics of our tour and transportation experiences in a dynamic hospitality environment.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and operationally-minded professional. You will play a key role in managing pier and cruise tour operations, overseeing logistics and inventory, and ensuring seamless internal operations. Strong communication skills, online workplace proficiency, and a passion for efficient operations and guest experience are essential.

Responsibilities

Operations Management & Logistics

  • Oversee all pier operations and cruise tour dispatch, ensuring efficient and timely execution of all tours.
  • Maintain and update tour inventory and capacity across booking platforms and internal systems.
  • Manage and maintain pier scheduling to optimize resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and manage private shore excursion requests from initial inquiry to final booking and execution.
  • Ensure the overall operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to refine offerings based on guest feedback and performance

Partner & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cruise lines, local venues, and other operational partners.
  • Monitor and respond to emails from cruise lines and other key partners in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with all venue and partner communications to ensure successful tour delivery.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day cruise operations.
  • Utilize Google Workspace for documentation, collaboration, and internal communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policies.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience (2 years+) in an operations, logistics, or management role is essential.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Efficiency and attention to detail in logistics, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and professional etiquette for partner and stakeholder relations.
  • Experience in tourism, transportation, hospitality, or experiential brands is a strong asset.
  • Interest in operational efficiency, logistics, and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Full-time, Permanent

Work hours:

40 hrs+ in peak season and 24-32 hrs+ in shoulder season.

Salary:

$60,000 per year
