Operations Manager
to join our team. This position reports to the
General Manager
and will work in
Victoria, BC
.
About The Position
As the
Operations Manager
on our
Operations
team, you will oversee all aspects of our contract manufacturing function: sourcing components, inventory management, warehousing, procurement, supply chain management, demand planning, as well as seeking cost reductions during contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers. With a focus on continuous improvement, this position will help to increase quality and efficiency of our operations while lowering costs and time where possible.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing, in accordance with policies, principles and procedures to meet the Company's daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals.
- Monitor inventory, quality and cost control programs to ensure materials are available within required timeframes.
- Ensures quality services are delivered by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and competitive but ethical business practices.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process and/or the system.
- Develop plans for the efficient use of material, space, equipment and resources.
- Review production costs and product quality, and modify production program to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the business.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to find cost savings where applicable.
- Coach, guide, and mentor direct reports in each area of responsibility

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in XXX as well as having acquired the following qualifications and experiences.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or related field and/or relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of employee management experience.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Intermediate to Advance user in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
