Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and advance within a growing organization. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in managing daily store activities, supervising staff, and implementing merchandising strategies to maximize profitability and enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Support recruiting efforts by interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management for staff.
  • Lead merchandising initiatives to optimize product placement and pricing strategies.
  • Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and returns.
  • Handle purchasing decisions, inventory management, and stock replenishment.
  • Supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Implement marketing campaigns to promote store promotions and special events.
  • Maintain proper cash handling procedures and bookkeeping records.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff through training & development programs.
  • Assist with budgeting, sales management, and store management tasks to meet business objectives.

Skills

  • Strong leadership qualities with supervisory experience in retail settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, merchandising, pricing, and sales management.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Time management skills to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies to increase store visibility and sales growth.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.21-$27.48 per hour
