Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in team management, merchandising, and maintaining store standards while fostering a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily store operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and train staff to enhance their skills in customer service, sales, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory management, including purchasing, pricing, and merchandising strategies to maximize sales.
  • Handle cash management tasks including cash handling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping activities.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Support recruitment efforts by participating in the interviewing process and onboarding of new employees.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on budgeting and financial planning to achieve store goals.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to promote store events and drive traffic.
  • Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks including budgeting, payroll processing, and time management.
  • Solid understanding of merchandising principles and retail sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.20-$27.40 per hour
