Full Time Temporary Educational Assistants

St. John Paul II Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 School

St. John Paul II Catholic School in Stony Plain, AB is currently seeking Educational Assistants to assist students with diverse academic and social/emotional needs.

The assignment is to begin January 5, 2026 and end June 29, 2026 of the school year.

Salary range $ $28.46 as per Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.

Preference Given to Candidates with the Following Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing strength-based, trauma informed practices
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Able to effectively deal with crisis situation; physically able to lift and/or protect
  • Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training
  • Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
  • Diploma in child/youth care, Educational Assistant Certificate and experience with Speech/Language Assistance are assets
