KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist II you will:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, and production roles while ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Collaborate with managers to anticipate workforce needs, interpret labor market trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Partner with post-secondary institutions, immigrant-serving organizations, and industry associations to strengthen and diversify talent pipelines.
  • Coach and advise managers on inclusive hiring practices, competitive compensation, and market availability.
  • Analyze recruitment data, prepare hiring reports, and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and quality of hire.
  • Support onboarding activities and serve as a backup for orientation when needed.
  • Contribute insights from recruitment to inform workforce development and training initiatives.
  • Act as an HR advisor to employees and leaders, ensuring professional guidance on policies, engagement, and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist II, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (required).
  • 4–6 years of progressive, full-cycle recruitment experience with increasing responsibility (required).
  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, employer branding, and complex recruitment strategies.
  • Strong data analysis and structured reporting capabilities using ATS and recruitment analytics tools.
  • Experience conducting candidate assessments through phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Advanced training or certification in talent acquisition or HR (e.g., LinkedIn Talent Insights, SHRM-TA, CPHR) (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing or complex industries (an asset).
  • Experience working in multicultural environments and with international recruitment (an asset).
