Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Your passion for the food industry, hospitality and commitment to food safety will contribute to an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
  • Engage with customers to provide outstanding service
  • Prepare and serve food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of snacks and beverages with attention to quality and presentation
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) systems to process customer orders accurately
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of prep area, bar area, dining areas, and kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in stocking inventory and managing supplies to ensure smooth operations throughout your shift
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed and customer orders are processed accurately
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Preparing coffee and beverage orders as needed, enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Provide support in various roles as needed, including barista duties or hospitality tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in hospitality is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • A commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Must have Food Handler Certification
  • Smart Serve Certification is an asset
