Coordinator of Health Administration

Wage: $50,000 - $60,000 Annual Salary

Benefits: Paid sick leave, 3 weeks vacation, comprehensive benefits, and 5.5% employer pension match

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm (Flexibility required to accommodate needs of the Nation)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the Coordinator of Health Administration will provide overarching assistance to the Health and Wellness team, including the different programs and service streams.

  • Track deadlines, contractual obligations, and potential funding deadlines

  • Coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements for staff

  • Maintain a calendar and schedule for community visits, holidays, and important dates for the Health, Child and family, Elders, and Justice departments

  • Assist in event planning (Land-Based Healing Camps, Elder's Trips, and Family Camps) and program development and implementation

  • Field Jordan's Principle requests and collaborate with Jordan's Principle to collect documents and data required for compliance

  • Support members with scheduling appointments and accompanying them to community services

  • Track data and information for the Community Wellness Support funds

  • Coordinate credit card usage and reconcile monthly finance report

  • Collect timesheets from departments and submit to payroll

  • Issue purchase orders that align with program procedures and policies

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience and/or education in the Social Services or Psychology is an asset

  • Experience scheduling, arranging meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining records

  • Satisfactory reference checks and Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License, clear Driver's Abstract, and willingness to travel as needed
