Job Summary
The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve a website's search engine rankings, increase organic traffic, and enhance overall online visibility. This role involves keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO audits, and performance analysis to ensure alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Keyword Research & Strategy:
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-value search terms.
- Develop content strategies based on keyword insights.
- On-Page Optimization:
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, and internal linking.
- Ensure proper use of schema markup and structured data.
- Technical SEO:
- Perform site audits to identify and fix crawl errors, broken links, and speed issues.
- Optimize site architecture for better indexing and user experience.
- Off-Page SEO:
- Build and manage link-building campaigns.
- Monitor backlink profile and disavow harmful links.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Track and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Prepare monthly reports on traffic, rankings, and ROI.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in SEO (2+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with local SEO and international SEO.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
- Understanding of PPC and other digital marketing channels.
