Job Overview
As a Senior Consultant in Centralized Governance & Controls, you will manage operational risk for Capital Markets. You will lead risk management initiatives, develop integrated control solutions, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. This role involves relationship management, risk consulting, and execution of control frameworks to mitigate operational exposures and potential losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage key relationships and collaborate with business partners and Lines of Defence on operational risk matters.
• Communicate effectively about governance pillars and operational risk across all organizational levels.
• Identify risk exposures and control gaps, analyze root causes, and lead remediation plans.
• Act as a risk and control Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead audits and compliance exams.
• Execute Control Framework requirements including RCSA, KRIs, incident reporting, and deficiency management.
• Develop and recommend control testing programs and prepare reports for executive reviews.
• Provide mentorship and influence outcomes through negotiation and coaching.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience in governance, business controls, compliance, and/or operational risk management within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, audit, and regulatory compliance principles.
• Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships across diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Capital Markets lines of business and related processes.
• Familiarity with SOX Officer/Maintenance Officer responsibilities and control testing programs.
• Ability to lead large-scale governance and regulatory projects.
• Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
