With decades of experience, we know how to navigate retail systems and deliver results for our clients.Job Summary:The National Account Manager will manage all activities related to sales and the relationship with Canadian Tire, located in Toronto, ON. This responsibility entails managing a portfolio of accounts and products, forecasting, promotional planning, and business development.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Canadian Tire, managing the day-to-day relationship and addressing service-related inquiries.Sales Strategy: Develop and implement account-specific sales strategies and goals to meet business objectives.Forecasting and Planning: Create product forecasts and promotional plans for the assigned account.Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key contacts up to the executive level.Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and drive growth by increasing product/service adoption, based on knowledge of customer and category.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing and sales, as well as external partners like brokers and retailers, to align on solutions and strategies.Data Analysis: Analyze sales and market data to provide actionable insights and develop effective presentations and proposals.Education and Experience Profile:Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.5 to 7 years of direct sales or field experience.Direct selling experience with Big Box Retail required.Required Skills:Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and create insightful presentations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong understanding of sales fundamentals, including distribution, pricing, and promotion.Proven ability to acquire new business and develop existing accounts.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management skills.Proficient in Canadian Tire vendor portals.Strategic thinker with sound business judgment.High level of integrity and professionalism.Work Environment:CMI offers the ability to work from home; however, this role requires residence within the Greater Toronto Area to support regular in-person meetings with Canadian Tire and other retail partners.The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification and is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees assigned to this job.How to Apply:Please submit your résumé and a brief cover letter outlining your experience with Canadian Tire or other Big Box Retail accounts.
