Job Type: On-Going Part-time, Independent Contractor Position.Hours: All applicants MUST have availability for a minimum of 4 hours (2 x 2 hr sessions) on weeknights after school.Side by Side Therapy is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill contract Instructor Therapist positions in North York and surrounding areas. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in the children’s home while employing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and RBA.Successful Candidates Must:Possess a minimum of 6 months employment experience as an Instructor Therapist or similar role, implementing ABA procedures as directed by an RBA.Implement sessions as directed by the RBA in accordance with the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) in the client’s home or community.Implement feedback from the RBA (or delegate) in a timely manner to improve client outcomes.Record and graph data and notes required by the RBA.Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions with clients.Maintain regular communication with parents, other team members, and the agency.Other duties as assigned by the RBA.Successful Candidates Should Possess:Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.Access to a reliable method of transportation.A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.Additional Assets:Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course completion is an asset.Completion of the RBT course or previous registration as an RBT with the BACB.ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.CPR / First Aid certification.Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or similar certification).Why Choose Side by Side Therapy:Weekly Pay.Make your own schedule.Your choice of client locations.Your choice of number of clients and Schedules.Free on-site parking (most locations).Minimal travel time between clients.Ongoing support, learning, and room to grow both professionally and financially.Opportunity for professional advancement within the organization.Compensation is based on individual experience and qualifications/assets.All Contractors are required to comply with the policies and procedures of the organization.We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only qualified candidates will be contacted.We are an equal-opportunity employer.To learn more about Side by Side Therapy please visit our website at https://www.sidebysidetherapy.ca About Side by Side ABA Therapy: About us Side by Side Therapy offers the following services: Comprehensive ABA Programs Focused ABA Programs Parent/Caregiver Coaching Behaviour Consultation BCBA Mentorship and Supervision Occupational Therapy Speech-Language Pathology Social Skills Training For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs.
