**St. James Volkswagen** is looking for a reliable, versatile, & high-energy individual to join our team as a **Vehicle Acquisition Manager **You will be responsible for acquiring/purchasing used car inventory from Third Parties, such as online auctions, while overseeing the Vehicle Buyers handling private sales. **Your Day to Day**:

- Analyze inventory profitability, sales volume, & new sources of vehicle supply
- Assist in meeting goals/objectives, including meeting targets related to vehicles purchased & achieving gross profit margins for vehicles acquired
- Manage inventory of vehicles purchased for resale
- Review inventory daily to ensure proper mix & drive intelligent purchasing decisions
- Provide leadership team with accurate reporting on trends, purchase, & gross profits
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly & on demand reporting that reflects activities associated with used vehicle buying
- Identify, evaluate, & acquire vehicles at high-volume daily from Online auctions, fleet providers & dealerships
- Monitor wholesale trends in the automotive market in Canada
- Travel as needed to buying events including weekly auctions, if necessary

**What You Bring to the Table**:

- ** Minimum 2 years automotive sales, used/preowned, or vehicle buying experience required**:

- Ability to analyze & interpret large amounts of complex data
- Process-oriented; superb attention to detail/accuracy
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
- Sound, practical business judgment, & problem-solving/results-oriented
- Knowledge of & a desire to learn federal, provincial, & local laws that govern retail automobile sales
- Valid Driver’s License & a safe driving record is required
