**Key Responsibilities of the Role**
The Aream Manager (AM) is a management position responsible for all aspects of clinic operations within their respective areas. Responsibilities include staffing, people development and management for all clinic positions, as well as providing direct and indirect guidance to individuals and groups throughout their clinic region. The Area Manager works closely with the Leadership team to ensure that clinic practices, processes, tools, and techniques align to improve service levels, productivity, quality, cost, and employee skills. In addition to management responsibilities, the Area Manager will also work as a clinician, approximately two days per week, completing clinical duties as assigned.
**Management Duties**: (60%)
- Hire, develop and support clinic teams: Clinicians, Client Care Representatives (CCRs), Clinic Supervisor and other positions within the clinics
- Assess clinician and CCR skill levels and develop plan for ongoing coaching and training
- Identify training opportunities, work with the team to develop content and train staff on Living Sounds protocols
- Coach clinicians on sales process and offer regular guidance and feedback on performance
- Coach clinicians and CCRs on delivering a superior client experience and other marketing skills for improving patient retention
- Ensure patient records and reports are properly maintained in our paperless system
- Provide clear direction/communication and foster great teamwork environment
- Respond to and resolve conflicts
- Work with Management on performance review process for all roles
- Regular travel to the clinics within the Region is expected
- Support the achievement of Corporate and/or Department goals
- Support the implementation of other department initiatives and act as a positive voice and example for the clinic staff
- Bring forward constructive feedback from the clinics
- Support Marketing initiative execution to achieve strong results
- Identify local community-based marketing and business development opportunities
- React to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned
- This position has access to a variety of confidential personnel data and customer data
**Clinical Duties: (40%)**
- Deliver a high level of client care throughout all client interactions
- Audiological assessments / testing
- Interpret test results and provide appropriate recommendations for: hearing aid products and hearing aid accessories, FM/DM or similar remote microphone technology, hearing protection, assisted listening devices (ALDs)
- Order, fit, program, and complete verification testing of various hearing products
- Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs
- Demonstrate expertise in counselling and creating aural rehabilitative care plans
- Build and maintain strong clinician-client care relationships which maximize client success
- Conduct community-based outreach with local Medical Professionals, retirement homes and other seniors’ groups
- To work within a team environment with other members of the center staff in achieving goals established by the Company
- Performs other duties as assigned
**Who You Are**:
- Working knowledge of market and business best practices, including managing budget
- Working knowledge of typical office computer and software systems
- Excellent communication/listening skills
- Ability to translate business analytics to actionable priorities for clinic staff
- Ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and create solutions
- Ability to build strong teams, set clear direction, motivate behavior change and resolve conflict
- Ability to build interpersonal relationships within and outside of Retail
**What You Have**:
- 3+ years managerial experience
- 3+ years clinical experience
- College/University degree or certificate in Hearing Health
- Registered and in good standing with CHAPA or ACSLPA
- Work experience within the Hearing Industry preferred
- Sales and business operations experience preferred
