**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR & Payroll Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing full cycle HR support for retail, production, warehouse, and office personnel across multiple locations in the GTA. The Human Resources Team works closely in collaboration with Operations, Production, Logistics, Finance and Marketing to achieve company goals.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Providing support to all key HR functions, including: recruitment and retention, employee engagement, performance management, training and development, records management, etc.
- Perform all steps in full cycle recruitment - posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, extending job offers, etc.
- Assist with executing strategic HR initiatives, such as internal training programs, policy implementation, etc.
- Maintain up to date employee files - storing signed contracts, policy acknowledgment forms, training certifications, personal contact information, etc.
- Support payroll and benefits administration; review weekly time sheets, perform data entry duties, complete benefit enrollment documentation on behalf of the employer, etc.
- Conduct a variety of employee training related to health and safety, food safety, customer service and internal policies
- Assist the JHSC with monthly inspections and quarterly meetings
- Maintain a positive workplace culture committed to employee wellness, developing top talent, and attracting, retaining, and motivating qualified personnel
- Planning employee recognition, rewards and social events to maintain employee engagement
- Additional duties as required

**Skillset Requirements**:

- 1-3 years+ of Human Resources experience within a small to mid-sized organization
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resource Management, or relevant field with a CHRP designation as a member of the HRPA is an asset
- Knowledgeable in all HR functions, including: recruitment, employee records management, policy documentation, training, performance management, etc., with a proven ability to support high performing teams
- Acting as an employer brand ambassador; offering high-quality service to all employees demonstrating urgency, and company values
- Detailed, organized and accurate with the ability the ability to support processing payroll on a weekly basis
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to travel to multiple sites within the GTA
- Possessing a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Tech savvy; proficient in MS Office, experience with a variety of HRIS and payroll systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly

Pay is contingent on your level of HR experience - entry level HR positions begin at $20.00 per hour and the rate increases based on knowledge, skills and qualifications providing support within a similar organization.
