**Position Details**
- The University of Lethbridge is hiring a highly organized Marketing Strategist to lead multi-channel campaigns that support recruitment, retention, research and fundraising. This full-time, continuing position is central to advancing the ULethbridge brand and driving measurable impact through digital advertising, media planning, and compelling copywriting. As part of the central marketing team, you’ll lead targeted campaigns that increase student recruitment, improve web engagement, and increase efficiency.
In this role, you’ll provide expert marketing guidance to internal partners, manage high-performing campaigns, and collaborate across faculties and departments to align marketing efforts with institutional priorities. You’ll use your digital expertise to engage prospective students through data-informed marketing strategies.

**Responsibilities include**:
- Lead the planning and execution of high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned with the University of Lethbridge’s Strategic Plan and institutional marketing goals.
- Develop and manage paid advertising campaigns across digital and traditional platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Out-of-Home) to drive measurable outcomes such as increased domestic student inquiries.
- Provide strategic marketing guidance to faculties and departments to support recruitment, research, and fundraising objectives.
- Craft compelling messaging and creative direction for campaigns, ensuring consistency with the university’s brand and audience needs.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and data dashboards to improve engagement and reduce cost-per-click (CPC).
- Actively participate in vendor and agency partnerships to align deliverables with institutional goals, timelines, and budget.
- Support high-priority university events (e.g., Open House, Convocation), including occasional evening or weekend participation.
**Position Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing, digital advertising, and media planning. Previous experience in a post-secondary environment will be considered an asset.
- Strong technical skills in digital advertising tools, including Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, etc.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, advertising budgets and campaign performance metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of successful collaboration.
- Experience working within brand guidelines and producing creative, effective content.
- Experience with Google Ads and/or Google Analytics 4 (GA4) certification; working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), content management systems (e.g., Drupal), Adobe Creative Suite, and marketing automation tools.
- A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.
**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $5,291.00 - $5,990.00 monthly
**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $5,291.00 - $6,687.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 12)
