Manager, Data & Integration Platform
Is This Role for You?
The Data and Integration Platform Manager will play an important role in providing critical data services to the Edmonton International Airport. You will lead the development, evolution and operations of all data and integration platforms and services, together with staff, partners and vendors.
Day in The Life
- Lead the evolution and management of EIA’s data capabilities and infrastructure, including its data lake, API and messaging platforms
- Responsible for the successful implementation of data projects that align with business and use cases and strategies delivered as part of an integrated business and modernization plan.
- Liaison with business leads to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements that can be used by analysts and data scientists to successfully create models, tests and other analyses
- Establish a reference architecture and enterprise data model to enable scalable and high quality solutions to be built leveraging reliable information.
- Establish standards, operating procedures and design patterns for internal and third party development teams.
- Work to develop, optimize and automate data processing tasks
- Maintain data governance and compliance best practices in line EIA policy and Canadian Privacy Law
- Maintain quality, consistency and standard of data across the organization
- Collaborate with various internal and external agency stakeholders to build data structures harmonized across both online and offline channels
- Build and maintain real time, right time and batch integrations across the systems landscape.
- Work with data science and business analysts to implement data layer strategies that allow EIA to develop key analytics and models.
- Provide quality assurance on all third party related development to ensure adherence to standards and reference architecture.
- Partner with internal and external teams to perform data quality audits, QA tags and identify issues, including building improvement plans
- Support internal and third party audits (including ITGC and NIST) to ensure appropriate data controls are in place, documented and maintained.
- Provide recommendations for improvement around platform configurations and processes.
- Work with developers to communicate what an implementation is designed to accomplish
- Ensure the data collected and used follows key regulations including PIPEDA and GDPR
- Manage internal and third party developers.
- Recommend & support ingestion of new data as required
- Monitor data use and analytics consumption to ensure the organization is receiving value for investment with the platforms.
- Liase with other airports and partners to evolve and grow the ACRIS data model to enable standardization across aviation.
- Recommend and support the procurement of integration and data lake technologies and services to enable our objectives.
