Alliance Principle Ingredients Corporation is a manufacturer and distributor of natural health products. Since 1991 our mission has been to provide our customers with safe, efficacious, and GMP products.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented person to join our team to fill a part-time Customer Service position. This role will work in office, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 3:30pm with a half hour lunch break.

**Job purpose**

To act as Customer Service, managing sales orders and logistics of all goods. To conduct the job successfully in a regulated environment set by but not limited to Health Canada, FDA and Food Safety certifying bodies for FSSC22000/ISO, NoGE/NON-GMO and Halal.

**Duties and responsibilities**

Duties and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

- Follow strict safety and food safety guidelines and company standards pertaining to GFSI, HACCP, NoGE/NON-GMO and Halal certification requirements.
- Participate actively in the Food Safety and Quality Culture; understanding and having the proper attitude and behavior toward Food Safety and Quality to help reach company’s goals and objectives.
- Manage all importing and exporting of products
- Act as main contact for all custom brokers and verify all tariff classifications
- Manage all freight carriers and approve freight rates
- Inventory Management including year-end count
- Correspondence with all customers & suppliers
- Create and control all receiving, customer orders and shipping documentation including:

- Creation of stock codes, BOM structures and jobs
- Purchase Order receipts
- Sales Order creation after approval of Customer Purchase Order
- Packing Slips
- Bill of Lading creation
- Commercial Invoices and USMCA forms
- Preparation of all outgoing shipments
- Manage all commission based orders
- Prompt quality department with WIP inspection documents and C of A’s for raw materials that need to be sampled
- Prompt quality department when all raw materials have arrived to create Job Workorder
- Standard Operating Procedure creation and revisions as required
- Sourcing new ingredients based on approved specifications, monitoring performance of approved suppliers and reporting deficiencies to Management (Supplier Monitoring)
- Tracking of consumables for production
- Request customer forecasts for inventory planning
- Update Alliance spreadsheets with supplier and customer pricing changes
- Submit reports and trends relevant to supplier monitoring and approvals, freight carriers etc
- Manage all US FDA Registration numbers and permits
- Dangerous Goods Transportation implementation and training
- Management of the Product Defense Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan
- Management of any third-party warehouses
- Attend all Management meetings and work on cross-function teams including Food Safety Team, internal auditing
- Prepare Internal Audits
- All other duties as required by management

**Qualifications**

Qualifications include:

- Ability to learn to manage warehouse distribution and logistics of goods both nationally and internationally
- Ability to learn the management of inventory and understand advanced inventory systems
- Ability to oversee Purchase Orders and Sales Orders and organize on-time shipments
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365 products
- Good understanding of GMP and Food Safety Programs including HACCP, FSSC22000 as pertains to Management of supplies and Shipping and Receiving and personal hygiene.

**Physical requirements**

Tasks require frequent periods of sitting, standing, bending, walking, crouching and twisting. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
