Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle various customer inquiries effectively.

Duties

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Engage in upselling and merchandising to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking shelves and managing inventory.
  • Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize retail math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and sales reporting.
  • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers.
  • Proficient in cash handling and basic math for accurate transactions.
  • Experience in retail sales with knowledge of grocery store operations preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product displays.
  • Supervising experience is beneficial for leading team efforts effectively.
