**About the team**
You'll initially be joining our amazing HR team, which spans across the globe (Canada, the UK, Spain, and Malaysia). The team consists of HR Operations, Business Partners, L&D, and Talent Acquisition. As the role and team develop, our payroll team will form as a HR Operations offering to The Adaptavist Group, and you'll sit directly between HR and Finance.
**About the role**
A core focus of this role is to assist in the collation, validation, and input of all payroll data for a given pay cycle, including starters, leavers, and changes, across all global locations (North America, EMEA, and APAC). As well as supporting the processing of additional payroll data such as bonuses, ad-hoc and voluntary deductions, and benefits. Naturally, that will have a huge impact on your involvement in adhering to payroll policies and procedures and complying with relevant laws. You'll collaborate with finance in Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records
**What you'll be doing**
- Ensure confidentiality when dealing with employee pay data
- Answer employee payroll queries in timely and accurate manner
- Assisting auditors on payroll related queries at year end
- Assisting with analysis of payroll data to produce meaningful management reports
- Review and approve payroll report from 3rd party payroll providers
- Maintain all payroll related files in Dropbox for audit trail
- Uploading of payroll data into relevant accounting and reporting systems
- Maintaining relationships with and liaising with outsourced payroll providers
- Reconciling final payroll reports to payroll changes sheet
- Reconciling pension contributions from payroll reports to upload sheets for pension portal
- Setting up and arranging for payroll payments via online banking platform to be approved
- Creating sales invoices and bills related to inter-company payroll recharges
- Ensuring sufficient funds in appropriate bank accounts in preparation for month end payroll and payroll taxes
- Accurately calculating other payroll items, such as employee deductions, staff benefits, relocation costs
- Maintaining schedule of deduction related to advances, cycle-to-work scheme
- Maintaining maternity pay schedule
- Being involved in reimbursement of staff-related expenses and enforcing compliance the expenses policy
**What we're looking for**
- Familiar with any Payroll Software
- Understanding of Tax Procedures, Benefits and other wage deductions across multiple regions
- Computer literate with advanced Excel skills
- Experience of accounting adjustments relevant to payroll
- Record-Keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent mathematical and numerical skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work on a deadline
- Flexible and adaptable team player
- CIPP qualification
- Experience with running multiple, global payrolls
