**About us**

Roadway Towing is committed to providing safe, prompt, and profession towing services. Our towing and recovery team has provided reliable towing services to the Delta and Greater Vancouver Area for over 35 years. We provide service to retail customers, City of Delta, Delta Police, RCMP, BCAA and other roadside providers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive requests for service from customers by phone, mail, or other electronic methods; gather all necessary info and record all details in an accurate manner
- Follow procedures for receiving and dispatching incoming calls.
- Make necessary arrangements for the appropriate driver and vehicle to be employed for each call
- Dispatch calls to drivers using a variety of communication channels (radio, telephone, digital, etc.) in a prompt manner
- Keep track of the movement and progress of each operator
- Ensure timely dispatch of calls
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and nature of service
- Maintain a friendly relationship with drivers to ensure steady compliance whenever they are called for work even in emergency situations
- Maintain a dispatch log to record all details of the calls
- Plan call routes in such a way as to minimize cost
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process cash, charge invoices, and payments

Qualifications:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Availability to start at 6am
- Computer knowledge
- Strong multitasking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced office
- Ability to retain information and have excellent organizational skills
- Geographical knowledge of the lower mainland
- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and independently in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Previous dispatching experience preferred but willing to train the right individual

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
