**Coordinator of Youth Hub Services - Full-Time (1.0 EFT) - 12 Month Term**
**Hourly Wage - $37.52 - $43.09**
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and grounded in person-centered, culturally safe, anti-oppression and social justice-oriented practice and a commitment to compassionate, responsive and equitable processes, the Coordinator of Youth Hub Services at Huddle South Central is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy, vibrant and newly established Provincial Youth Hub, providing services for a diverse group of youth and their families (ages 12 - 29) within the St. Boniface/St. Vital and surrounding communities
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Youville, the Coordinator of Youth Hub Services is responsible for the overall service oversight/coordination of interagency operations within the St. Vital/St. Boniface Youth Hub.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Site Coordination**_
- Keeps abreast of new and emerging social issues and sharing insights with the Youville teams
- Understand the roles each interagency team member plays in service coordination and delivery and identifies gaps, challenges and proactively seeks to resolve them
- Provides service coordination including scheduling of interagency supports, programming appropriate follow-up with service users and other organizations and systems
- Maintain awareness of and build positive relations with Huddle partnered organizations
- Maintain awareness, knowledge and keeps abreast of best practices in harm reduction strategies including supply distribution.
- **Interagency Coordination**_
- Work in collaboration with other Huddle staff and interagency teams to facilitate and coordinate programming and seamless service delivery at the Hub.
- Provide support to individuals utilizing walk up and drop-in services.
- Create resources, including via social media platforms to engage under-represented groups and promote inclusion at Youville
- Proactively develop links with key contacts in the community
- **Management and Leadership**:_
- Supports, champions and models the mission, vision and values of Youville Centre and the spirit of the Youth Hub model, with an emphasis on Reconciliation, anti-racist, anti-oppression and intersectionality principles.
- Coordinates recruitment and onboarding of employees
- Coaches and motivates employees, volunteers and students to achieve quality results
- Provides clear direction and expectations in line with the mission, vision, values and mandate of the organization and initiatives
- Manages and troubleshoots the day to day operations of the site
- **Community Engagement and Development**:_
- In conjunction with advisory tables and Youville programs, plan, develop, implement, coordinate, administrate and evaluate Hub services
- Foster an integrated and innovative system responsive to the needs of the community members based on strategic approaches for the community.
- **Crisis-Intervention and De-Escalation**_
- Assist in supervising participants with support from other youth program staff.
- Evaluate immediate safety risks, de-escalate and diffuse conflict in an assertive, timely fashion
- Integrate trauma-informed/healing centered principles and strategies in preventing and diffusing situations
- Create and facilitate a calm, compassionate environment for those experiencing distress.
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of high school
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working directly with youth
- A minimum two years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience working effectively with First Nations, Métis and Inuit, newcomer and 2SLGBTQQIA peoples
- Ability to work a varied schedule
- Experience related to budget oversight / tracking and program evaluation
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain same
- Demonstrated bilingualism is an asset (French and English or English and another language)

- Availability to work evening and weekend hours
