At **Huddle Ka Ni Kanichihk**, we honour and uplift Indigenous youth by providing access to cultural healing, health services, mentorship, and support in a safe and welcoming space. We believe that cultural identity is foundational to wellness, and we are proud to offer programming rooted in Indigenous ways of being, while also welcoming youth from all walks of life.

**Youth Connect** offers outreach, peer support, and system navigation for Indigenous and underserved youth, walking beside them as they navigate health care, education, housing, employment, and cultural resources. Together, Huddle and Youth Connect create a circle of care and belonging for youth aged 12-29.

**The Opportunity**:
The **Term**role for **Coordinator; Huddle and Youth Connect** is a leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and development of youth programming at Ka Ni Kanichihk. This includes supervising staff and peer mentors, coordinating community partnerships, implementing culturally grounded and trauma-informed practices, and ensuring safe, accessible, and youth-centered services are available at both Huddle and Youth Connect.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Lead, supervise, and support a team of youth-focused staff including peer mentors, systems navigators, and outreach workers.
- Provide guidance, performance feedback, and mentorship in a strengths-based, trauma-informed way.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of both Huddle drop-in space and Youth Connect outreach
- Implement policies and procedures that ensure youth safety, accessibility, and cultural belonging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations and agencies
- Coordinate care planning and wraparound supports with other service providers.
- Maintain a welcoming, youth-friendly, and inclusive space for all youth aged 12-29.
- Integrate cultural supports, ceremony, and traditional teachings into daily programming.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting in alignment with funder and organizational requirements.
- Manage scheduling, budgets, and work plans to ensure smooth delivery of services.

**What You Bring**:

- Training or education within Child and Youth Care, Indigenous Studies, Community Health, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, supervision, or youth engagement, preferably within Indigenous communities.
- Deep understanding of the impacts of colonization, intergenerational trauma, and systemic barriers faced by Indigenous youth.
- Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive practice.
- Strong relationship-building skills with youth, staff, families, and community partners.
- Knowledge of local services and supports in the areas of mental health, housing, education, employment, and health care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience in data tracking, outcome reporting, and program evaluation is an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
