**Join the Northwood team**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides administrative/clerical support to the Manger, People Services
- Provides administrative support for members of Organizational Health and Safety Team and Occupational Health Nurses
- Support development of a comprehensive filing system both electronically and paper format.
- Assists in maintaining databases
- Provides callers, visitors, and staff with appropriate greeting, information and assistance
- Assists in creating promotional displays
- Inputs data in databases, statistics and file management for the corporate occupational health and safety program and other projects/programs as needed
- Conducts information/literature searches for projects/programs as needed
- Compiles data for special projects and for generating corporate reports

**Qualifications**:

- _**Applicant must be entering full time post-secondary studies in the fall semester immediately following the work term OR continuing full-time post-secondary studies following the work term.**_
- _**Applicant must be a permanent resident of the province or live in Nova Scotia for at least six months prior to the work term**_
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Access & Excel required
- Experience in OHS considered an asset
- Experience with database systems, development of filing systems, regular maintenance of filing systems and data management considered an asset
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Hours of Work**:80 hours bi-weekly

**Location**:NorthwoodCorporate Office/Halifax as required. With travel to all sites when necessary

**Salary**: As per the Northwood Scale
