We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Shop Foreman** to lead our production shop and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
**Position Overview**
As the Shop Foreman, you will oversee daily operations in our production shop, managing a team of skilled workers and ensuring smooth workflow from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Production Oversight**: Manage and coordinate all shop activities to ensure timely and quality production.
- **Equipment Management**: Operate and maintain machinery, including moulders, CNC machines, multi-rip saws, and clamp racks.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise, train, and support a team of 10+ employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- **Scheduling and Workflow**: Plan workloads and adapt priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Quality Assurance**: Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- **Safety and Maintenance**: Promote and enforce workplace safety while ensuring equipment is in top working condition.
- **Problem Solving**: Address and resolve production challenges quickly and effectively.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience**: A minimum of 10 years in the woodworking industry.
- **Technical Expertise**: Proficiency with moulders, CNC machines, multi-rip saws, and clamp racks.
- **Leadership**: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of 10+ people.
- **Computer Skills**: Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and excel in a dynamic environment.
- **Forklift Skills**: Certification or experience operating a forklift.
- **Communication**: Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- **Organizational Excellence**: Exceptional attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
