**Position Type**:Full time - Permanent

**Location**: Abbotsford, BC.

**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday (4:00pm to 12:30am)

**Position Overview**

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for a seasoned Night Shop Foreman/ Chargehand. We are looking for best in the industry who are ready to build a long-term career working on all OEM Heavy Duty Trucks, Trailers and Motorhomes. **Compensation Plan**
- Competitive Base wage
- $45.40/hr. (Journeyman rate) + $3.43 (Chargehand premium) + $1.75 (Shift differential)
- Employer-paid technical training as required.

**Primary Job Functions**
- Directly supervise chargehands and monitor technicians in the performance of all their duties.
- Assist assigning technicians to jobs based on skill levels and training certifications
- Assist in repair order process.
- Perform Road tests.
- Perform quality assurance activities, including:

- Quality assurance inspections
- Checks of job progress and quality
- Training Technicians in quality assurance
- Supervise the maintenance/use of tools and shop equipment with an emphasis on safety.

**Qualifications**
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal).
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Class 5 driver's license.
- Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus.
