Consultant, Strategic Consulting

Job Description Summary

The Strategic Consulting team provides facility accommodation and asset strategies to Canada’s leading public and private institutions and corporations. Advisory processes are tailored to the objectives and needs of each Client by combining robust economic, market and financial analytics with an on-the-ground understanding of market realities, to deliver achievable business and real estate strategies and solutions.

As part of a high-performing team, the Consultant will hone their analytical and financial advisory skills to deliver best-in-class real estate advice. This role will play a vital part in managing multiple priorities from research and analysis to developing business cases by writing reports and presentations.

**Job Description**:
Key responsibilities

Conduct economic and market research with in-depth analysis,

Conduct financial analysis and valuation including robust financial modelling,

Conduct labour and demographic analysis,

Involved in preparing business cases, construct reports and writing for presentations,

Act as project manager for client initiatives and deliverables,

Act as client and sub-contractor liaison,

Participate in business development for the Strategic Consulting team,

Network to build ongoing internal and external relationships, and

Keep current with key market trends, developments, and players.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Post-secondary degree (Business, Finance or related field preferred),

4+ years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate,

Advanced knowledge of Excel for robust financial modelling and valuation capabilities,

Ability to problem-solve whenever challenges or concerns arise, and

Ability to write reports and create presentations.

Exceptional analytical skills with a diligent attention to detail,

Advanced research and analytical skills,

Strong written and verbal communication skills,

Ability to multitask and prioritize with a sense of urgency for deadlines.
