We are currently looking for a full-time ambitious, and dedicated person to begin working immediately with our metal production team as a manufacturing assistant. Reporting to the Manager of Metal Production, this individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as assembling equipment, operating machinery, and supporting the efficient movement of conveyor parts and machinery through our shop facility.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Assist machinists, welders, and other technicians with daily operations
- Read and interpret work orders and general production drawings.
- Ensure production procedures are carried on smoothly.
- Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
- Maintain machine shop in a clean and organized manner
- Utilize checklists, inspections, work procedures and safety guidelines to complete tasks
- Perform routine housekeeping duties in the shop
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Ensure all UniTrak’s work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed

**Skills & Experience**:

- At least 1-3 years experience working in a Manufacturing shop, in a similar type of role or relevant experience
- Prior experience with steel fabrication is required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, and details from shop drawings
- Capable of working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
- Manual dexterity
- Organized with a high attention to detail
- Great communicator
- Able to work on multiple projects/tasks at the same time
- Solutions-oriented and results driven

**Benefits**:

**Job Type & Pay**:

- Full-time, Permanent
- $27.00 - $29.00/hour - Depending on experience
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm. (Overtime may be required as needed)
