**Position Description & Responsibilities**:
The Medical Administrative Assistant utilizes knowledge of medical terminology and exercises judgment or decision-making to provide secretarial and clerical services, in support of professional/medical personnel. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the clinical and administrative services associated with the operation of the physician practice/clinic inlcuding and not limited to:
- Greeting patients and creating a welcoming environment
- Coordinating appointments for multiple practitioners and managing the schedule
- Handling patient inquiries
- Assisting with in-person clinics.
- Managing electronic filing and chart organization
- Mainting a clean and organized office environment
- Responsible for certain billing duties
**Qualifications**
- completion of undergraduate degree from a accredited institution
- minimum 1 year experience in a medical administrative setting
- strong command of medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to use good judgment and clinical reasoning in assessing difficult situations
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Experience working in a health care environment preferred
- Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience, in a Microsoft Office Environment
- experience with JANE and CHR INPUT health preferred

**Hours**:
- Monday & Wednesday: 10-8:00
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00-5:00
**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
