Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Program Manager of Pediatric Community Rehabilitation, the Care Manager role is responsible for the delivery of effective, efficient community-based Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Pathology services for children and youth. The Care Manager provides team leadership and day-to-day organization over operational activities. The Care Manager supports all human resource activities, operational and business processes inclusive of recruitment, performance management; participation in short
- and long-term program planning and development, establishing and maintaining professional practice standards, leading health and safety practices in the workplace by ensuring staff feel safe, healthy and valued. The Care Manager works closely with clinical leaders to ensure operational practices and service delivery across the teams are aligned with the overall program goals and objectives.
Description:
The Care Manager fulfills a leadership role in Allied Health and reports directly to the Pediatric Community Rehabilitation Program Manager. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization for the Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Therapy Assistants, Social Workers and administration, who provide services to children and youth. The position requires effective communication with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, proven ability to collaborate and foster partnerships, family/client centered focus, commitment to providing quality services, demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, the ability to inspire and build confident in others, ability to manage change, and manage human and physical resources.

**Required Qualifications**:
A minimum of master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or a related health discipline. Master’s degree in health administration or equivalencies of education and experience will be considered. Active membership in good standing within profession. Previous leadership experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A clear pattern of professional and personal development.
