**Lead Hand - Burn Shop**

Wage range: $30.00 - 38.00

**Shifts available**:
Days, 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance** **and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting a **Lead Hand** - **Burn Shop **for the **Barrie** manufacturing team. This position will report to the **General Foreman**.

**What you will do**:
**Leadership**
- Promote and ensure workplace safety exists at all times
- Create and uphold a safe and secure work environment that is conducive to productivity of the workers
- Foster an environment that facilitates active participation and staff involvement, offers job satisfaction, encourages creativity and is conducive to learning, development, advancement and the need to strive for excellence at all times
- Assist in maximizing the talent of available staff, delegating responsibilities and making each individual accountable
- Provide an open and co-operative attitude towards progress and change to promote and meet the company goals
- Work collaboratively with applicable departments to meet Customer requirements
- Promote continuous improvement of product and streamline procedures without compromising on product quality or endangering the health and well-being of employees
- Consistently promote waste reduction in production processes and provides leadership to input and initiate change.

**Burning**
- Align plate on table
- Select program and adjust setting (kerf, speed, stand-off, etc.) to suit the burning project
- Make appropriate adjustments to ensure accurately burned piles with no defects
- Check burn quality of finished pieces and re-burn defective pieces, if required
- Ensure the correct quantity is burned according to the burn sheet specifications
- Change out torch tips, electrodes and nozzles, as required

**Your required qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years Lead Hand or Supervisory experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience using part nesting software
- A minimum of 3 years of machine operator experience
- Experience in metal fabrication shop
- Overhead crane experience
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience operating Messer Oxy Fuel and Plasma tables an asset
- Experience using Messer OmniWin and OmniBevel bevel software an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
