**Job Overview**

We are a busy small sized CPA firm looking for an accounting technician to join our team. The firm works collaboratively to provide various services to individuals and local small and medium sized businesses. Our firm provides exceptional training and exposure to a wide variety of bookkeeping, accounting and tax work. This is an entry level position; training will be provided by Partner and Staff.

This is not a CPA articling position

**Responsibilities**
- Provide bookkeeping service for owner operated companies;
- Compile year end financial statements and corporate income tax returns
- Provide other compliance forms including Goods and Services Tax, T4 Payroll Slip; Summaries, T5 slips and summaries; and
- Prepare personal income tax returns.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a post-secondary bookeeping or accounting program;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook);
- Experience on accounting software (Sage, Word and Ouicken), tax software (Cantax and / or Taxprep) and CaseWare will be an asset;
- Strong oral and written communication skills; and
- Strong interpersonal skills (co-operative, courteous, friendly and professional).
