The Clerk Head will ensure superior customer service experience by coaching and developing a friendly, well-trained staff. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

**Here’s where you’ll be focusing**:

- Reporting to the Store Manager, you will manage the entire operation of the front-end department including supervising cashiers and courtesy clerks.
- Cash management - opening, closing, balancing, Podium
- Scheduling
- Supervision - this may include some training and mentoring depending on store volume.
- Supervision of time and attendance
- Customer Service. In some stores there may be a cashier assigned to handle the customer service desk.
- Ensures safety training is complete

**What you have to offer**:

- Previous retail management experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety legislation, policies and practices
