**Job Title: Business Development Specialist**
**Position Details**:Permanent, Full-time. This role combines both in-office responsibilities and external engagement and will be based at The Truffles Group home office.
**Compensation**:Salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + bonus potential.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute comprehensive outbound sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and foster existing relationships with key clients, tourism boards, hotel partners, tour operators, other attractions, online travel agencies, and transportation partners.
- Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify areas for growth and innovation.
- Conduct familiarization tours for potential clients to showcase the attraction’s offerings.
- Actively promote the butterfly garden through outreach programs, events, presentations, promotions and networking.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with advertising, promotional campaigns and branding efforts.
- Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings to represent the brand and grow the business network.
- Manage outbound sales initiatives in local, regional, and international markets.
- Track and analyze sales data, provide regular updates and analysis on optimization strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare sales reports, projections, and budgets, and report to leadership on performance metrics.
- Attend various trade and consumer shows.
- Occasional event support for each brand within The Truffles Group of companies.
**Education, Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in outbound sales, preferably in tourism, hospitality, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing successful sales strategies.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills with experience working with tourism boards, hotels, tour operators, and similar partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and internationally as required.
- A passion for nature, wildlife conservation and sustainability.
- Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
