**Cashier/Receiver - Pearl’s Value & Vintage**

**Main Function**:
At Pearl’s we have found it works well to have all employees trained to work in all areas of the store, to allow for a unified team and great flexibility. As such, with the exception of management, all staff share the title of Cashier/Receiver unless otherwise specified at the time of hiring.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Represent our organization and values every day by being a friendly face of PearlSpace
- Customer service including cashiering, bagging/boxing, helping customers find what they need
- Stocking and organizing merchandise to be sold
- General store upkeep such as maintaining change rooms, racks and surfaces, keeping a tidy work environment, daily cleaning and maintenance of the store
- Assist and thank donors, manage donation flow in safe manner
- Evaluate, inspect, and price donated items
- Sort, hang and tag clothing and accessory items
- Ensure management directives are carried out regarding policies and procedures

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to think quickly and problem solve
- Organized, fast and efficient
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Ability to create and foster a positive and cheerful work atmosphere
- Must have a passion for community service and genuinely enjoy working with people
- Previous experience working in customer service, retail or shipping and receiving is an asset._

**Location**: Pearl’s Value & Vintage Store, downtown Squamish

**Salary**: $22/hour

**Posting closing date**: April 25, 2025
