**Cashier for organic grocery store in Squamish**

Our goal is to provide a destination known for the best organic produce and everyone's favourite natural and organic groceries. Warm muffins (from our small prepared foods kitchen) and amazing people and products create the atmosphere in our community shop.

Your responsibilities will include receiving fresh produce, communicating with customers, operating the checkout, cleaning and opening or closing procedures. There is lots of walking and the occasional heavy lifting.

There will be many opportunities to learn about other essential aspects of the business such as making promotional signage, shelf displays, ordering, receiving and quality control.

We offer standard vacation pay and we are respectful of overtime rules. Normally, your total workday will not be longer than 8 hours and will include a 30 minute paid break. We also offer staff meals and employee store discounts. Shorter shifts are sometimes available. There are 5 mandated paid sick days per year. After a period of time, benefits are provided in the form of an HSA.
