**FIELD TECHNICIAN - Materials Testing**

Eagle Engineering Corp. specializes in providing civil engineering services on Provincial highway and transportation projects. Our head office is located in Bragg Creek, Alberta and we work on projects at various locations throughout Southern and Central Alberta.
Eagle Engineering is now recruiting for a Seasonal Field Technician to join our Team for the 2025 construction season, working on a highway project South of Camrose and East of Ponoka. This role will assist in our mobile Lab performing quality assurance testing of asphalt.
Shifts follow paving operations and are typically 10-12 hours per shift and are dependent upon weather and project schedules.
- Approximate Daytime: 7am to 7pm
- Shifts may include travel time to and from the job site depending upon location.
- Must be willing to work long hours and up to 7 days (or nights) per week. Long weekends are normally scheduled off.
- Construction is anticipated to run from mid-May to the end of June. Specific dates are not yet known.
- Technical and practical highway project experience completing Materials testing (ACP and Soils) and related duties is desired.
- Competency in following on-the-job training.
- This is a good opportunity for someone pursuing, or interested in, a Civil Engineering Technology program.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 kg, and complete repetitive manual tasks.
- Dedicated to the project and able to commit to the duration through to completion.
- Good communication skills and able to work independently in small teams, and with little supervision.
MUST PROVIDE OWN:
- CSA approved steel toed work boots.
- A cell phone.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- MANDATORY - A valid drivers license in good standing.
- MANDATORY - A minimum of 2 years insured drivers experience in Canada, with low demerits.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 weeks
Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week
