The successful applicant will:

- Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of truck, trailer combinations and various off road equipment including compaction equipment, dozers, excavators, graders, loaders and paving equipment
- Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubles
- Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, trouble shoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards
- Complete maintenance records and documentations as required
- Work in a shop setting when not in the field
- Work from a service truck in the field as required with possible overnight stays
- Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve participation in other areas of technical and field support, as required.
- Perform duties in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner
- Other duties as required

The successful applicant MUST HAVE
- Alberta HET certification or minimum 3rd year apprentice or out of province HET certification with Interprovincial Red Seal
- Your own tools
- Basic welding knowledge and skills (welding certification is an asset)
- Minimum Class 5 license with clean abstract (valid Class 1 License is an asset)
- Licensed CVIP certification is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities as required
- Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekend work during the construction season (May - November)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Be in good physical shape in order to work in physically demanding conditions
