With over two decades of experience crafting exceptional wines, we are proud to be the first winery established by Andrzej Lipinski and his family. Since our inception in 2011 with a mere 3 barrels of Chenin Blanc, Big Head has flourished into a renowned producer, boasting a 20,000-case production and an impressive 42-wine portfolio. Our dedication lies in exploring unique grape varieties, employing ambient fermentation, and pioneering techniques that redefine flavor profiles and intensity. Notably, our expertise in appassimento and whole-cluster methods epitomizes our commitment to unlocking the full potential of each vintage while maintaining harmonious balance. In 2016, we introduced our RAW line, emphasizing pure fruit expression through ambient fermentation and concrete maturation, with wines bottled unfiltered. Aligned with our ethos, we meticulously select only the finest fruits from the Niagara Region, partnering with growers who share our unwavering commitment to quality and attention to detail.

The Warehouse Manager position is a full-time, permanent role within the organization. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our expanding winery, where you will spearhead efforts to optimize operations, meet escalating demand, and enhance our production capacity. We are in search of a proactive and resourceful professional capable of navigating the intricacies of scaling a winery within a competitive market landscape.

**Responsibilities**:

- In this pivotal role, you will collaborate extensively with key stakeholders from various departments such as Operations, Suppliers, Shipping Partners, and Winemaking to:

- Shape logistics strategy, set goals, define operational standards, and uphold safety protocols.
- Foster collaboration between internal teams and external carriers to streamline operations.
- Offer insights for problem-solving and drive innovation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Strategize and optimize product movement workflows to mitigate bottlenecks.
- Coordinate seamless logistics across departments to align with schedules and demand.
- Oversee timely movement of raw materials to meet production deadlines.
- Uphold quality control standards throughout product handling and storage processes.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team within the logistics/shipping department.
- Maintain accurate and efficient inventory management practices.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/logistics or winery operations with progressive responsibilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in logistics and supply chain principles, encompassing inventory control, warehouse operations, and distribution strategies.
- Strong communication skills essential for effective collaboration with internal teams, external partners, carriers, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail, enabling adept management of multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.

**What Will Put You Ahead**:

- A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools within the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Ability to leverage various features and functionalities within Microsoft 365 for enhanced collaboration and productivity.
- Possession of First Aid and forklift certifications.
