Job Summary

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Niagara Propagators. This role will be based at our Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario location. This is a role that requires the individual to work on-site.

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will assist the Chief Operations Officer in ensuring customer orders are delivered complete and as scheduled. Additionally, this role will organize and monitor the storage, inventory and distribution of products. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can handle the dynamic needs of a greenhouse environment.

Employment Type

  • 40 hours per week. Additional time as required.
  • On-site

Responsibilities

  • Schedule outbound shipments with third part transportation partners.
  • Track and monitor shipments (inbound and outbound) ensuring deliveries are as scheduled and in-full.
  • As required, submit claims with suppliers and transport companies and follow up on investigation of shipments
  • Communicate any delays to internal staff.
  • Organize and distribute paperwork (border, picking/packing slips, etc.) to correct shipper.
  • Analyze product distribution plan and routes and update to ensure routes are efficient and cost-effective
  • Ensure warehouse and logistics personnel are well informed and have clear working instructions
  • Complete cross board paperwork.
  • Assist with development of SOP's; implement and train staff on procedures and protocols
  • Analyze inventory to ensure accuracy. Liaise with sales and front office staff to ensure inventory is adequate to meet upcoming requirements.
  • Ensure Warehouse complies with Federal and Provincial Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and variable hours as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics coordination in a greenhouse environment.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse operations and associated risks.
  • Knowledge of health and safety within greenhouse setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Other languages considered an asset.
  • Experience with the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program is considered an asset.
