Overview:
Reporting to the HR Manager, in this role you'll be responsible for the support and administration of employment letters, employee relations, and apprenticeship coordination. This position will be based out of our Sherwood Park office on our hybrid working program, 2 days a week in office, 3 days working from home.
**What you will be doing?**
- Assist the Human Resources Business Partners in day-to-day activities including drafting letters, submitting administrative forms, leave management, process development, and other ad hoc requests.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation for any anticipated employment changes by seeking management approval and preparing documentation.
- Ensure HR records are up to date and stored accurately.
- Review and assist in the development of job descriptions for all salaried and hourly positions.
- Become well versed in employment legislation to ensure management questions are fully addressed; understand when escalation is required.
- Assist in maintaining HR templates and structure of the HR database.
- Other HR projects as required.
**Does this sound like you?**
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources department.
- Human Resources Certificate or Diploma.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to provide clear attention to detail while remaining flexible.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize without direction.
- Self-starter.
- Ability to multitask including meeting multiple demands.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of legislation such as Human Rights, Employment Standards, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
