**Nature of the Work**
The position of Project Management Coordinator entails responsibility for the management, coordination, quality control and continuing improvement of the technical and administrative activities for the operation of one or more material resources projects of the school board.
The incumbent manages the school board’s major projects of a more complex and critical nature. He is also called upon to ensure the project management guide is updated and is applied by the project management team in collaboration with the Project Controller and the Assistant
Director of Infrastructure. He must supervise and guide the Junior Project Managers in terms of risk management and the scope of projects while promoting learning by emulation.
The incumbent will participate, on a rotation basis, in duty roster (watch and guard of buildings) for weekends, evenings and holidays.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study, preferably in Engineering or Architecture, certifying a minimum three-year university program or hold a senior executive or senior staff position in a school board for which an undergraduate degree is required under the minimum qualifications
- Recognized professional designation (i.e., Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or Ordre des architectes du Québec), an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), an asset
- Five to seven years of relevant experience, preferably in project management
- Project management experience working on major public infrastructures, an asset
- Fluency in English and French (oral and written)
- Ability to foster collaboration among team members
- Knowledge of related laws, regulations, decrees, directives and norms
- Ability to communicate effectively, quickly develop relationships and maintain a high level of customer service
- Have access to a car in order to be able to displace quickly and be present in several different schools or centres in a given day

Le poste de coordonnateur - chargé de projets principal consiste à exercer des fonctions de gestion, de coordination, de contrôle de qualité et d’amélioration continue des activités techniques et administratives essentielles au bon déroulement d’un ou de plusieurs projets en lien avec les ressources matérielles de la commission scolaire.
(Maximo) selon la fréquence prescrite dans la feuille de route et pourra aussi participer, au besoin, au comité de coordination des projets.
Le titulaire devra à tour de rôle participer au tableau de service (veille et garde des bâtiments) des fins de semaine, soirées et jours fériés.
**Exigences et qualifications**
- Baccalauréat dans un champ de spécialisation approprié, de préférence en ingénierie ou en architecture, sanctionnant un programme d’études universitaires d’une durée mínimale de trois ans ou occuper un emploi de hors-cadre ou de cadre, dont les qualifications mínimales exigent de détenir un grade universitaire de 1er cycle, dans une commission scolaire
- Titre professionnel reconnu (c.à-d. Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec ou Ordre des architectes du Québec), un atout
- Professionnel en gestion de projet (PMP) membre du Project Management Institute (PMI), un atout
- Expérience pertinente de 5 à 7 ans, de préférence en gestion de projets
- Expérience en gestion de grands projets d’infrastructure publique, un atout
- Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français (à l’oral et à l’écrit)
- Aptitude à encourager la collaboration au sein de l’équipe
- Connaissance des lois, règlements, décrets, directives et normes connexes
- Capacité à communiquer efficacement, à nouer rapidement des relations et à maintenir un niveau élevé de service à la clientèle
- Accès à une voiture pour se déplacer rapidement et se rendre dans plusieurs écoles ou centres au cours d’une même journée
