**About the LGBTQ+ Resource Centre at Humber**:
The LGBTQ+ Resource Centre works to promote safer, braver, positive spaces at Humber College and offers a dedicated space at both the North and Lakeshore Campuses for students to connect with one another, access resources, and build community. The Centre offers drop-in, weekly discussion groups, events and customized resources.
**About the Role**:
The LGBTQ+ Resource Centre Facilitator is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Centre and is the primary contact for students entering the space. Specifically, the Facilitator will be expected to ensure daily operations of the LGBTQ+ Centres, plan and deliver anti-oppressive programming and supports that fosters an environment within which students are able to feel safe, supported and encouraged. The position maintains a positive learning and community space and encourages productive student interactions; contacts and networks with community agencies and individuals; builds and maintains effective working relationships with various Humber personnel and resources; assists with workshop and programming logistics. The position regularly updates the Manager on emerging issues, maintains program records and participates in Student Life initiatives when possible.

**Education**
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Cultural/Diversity Studies or a related discipline. Prior experience in post-secondary or community-based settings is an asset.
**Experience/Skills**
- Understanding of anti-oppression education, gender/sexuality studies and their relationship to the educational system;
- Prior experience in post-secondary or community-based settings is an asset;
- Demonstrated leadership and professionalism skills; excellent communication;
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with diverse student groups while employing a social justice and equity lens.
