We are currently seeking an experienced **Quality Assurance Technician** to join our overnight operations. Recent graduates of the Nutrition, Food, and Animal sciences are encouraged to apply.
- **This position is critical to production and successful plant operations. Only qualified individuals with required skills will be considered.**_

**Qualifications**:

- University Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Food science or Animal Science or related Sciences
- 1-2 years' experience in Food Manufacturing or equivalent is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, instruct, and lead Food Safe/HACCP/GMP related tool box meetings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Capital Fine Meats sanitation program.
- Oversee sanitation employees and provide after hours direction in accordance with program requirements.
- Perform pre-operational inspection and coordinate scheduled inspections with CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency).
- Cooling CCP monitoring after smokehouse cooks are complete.
- Administer and conduct team training for onsite sanitation and GMP program.
- Implement sanitation and QA monitoring schedules.
- Monitor general overnight operations, plant temperatures, and conduct physical inspection of production rooms for next day set up.
- Ensure sanitation chemicals are available to conduct activities and perform monthly chemical inventory.

Pay: $39,520.00-$56,160.00 per year
